Urgent need for a physician traveler.
- Facility Type: IRF Free Standing – Acute Rehab
- Work Schedule: Daily, Monday through Friday and some weekends for admits and essential patient appointments.
- Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting and signing off on admitting patients with a liaison.
- Timely completion of History and Physical (H & P).
- Drafting Plan of Care notes.
- Minimum of 3 face-to-face visits, potentially more if needed.
- Consultations with Internal Medicine (IM) if necessary.

Participation in Team Conferences as scheduled, with specified weekends.

Typical Hours: Can range from 8 AM to 7 PM.

Census: Average of 40-50 patients, shared between locum tenens and the second PMR on staff.

Training Requirements: Pinpoint training for EMR is necessary, ideally a few days in advance via teams with screen sharing, led by the MD director.

Additional Information:
- The PMR (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) serves as the admitting MD and coordinates with IM MD.

Preference for providers with prior experience with Lifepoint facilities.

Patient Encounters Per Shift: 40-50, shared.

Credentialing: Expedited privileges available for providers with clean histories.

Specialty Focus:
- Interventional pain management included.
- Required skills include pain management (acute and chronic) and stress reduction/relaxation training.

Preferred skills include intra-discal electrothermal annuloplasty (IDET) and medical management.

Not Required Skills:
- Traction/immobilization devices
- Diagnostic/Therapeutic taps
- Arthrocentesis
- Certain injection types and guided procedures
- Wound debridement
- EMG and nerve conduction studies
Board certification is required, and the facility does not accept bids from providers with IMLC licenses. Historical experience with similar facilities is prioritized.
