Job Responsibilities

  • Perform thoracic surgical procedures including aortic valve conservation, coronary artery bypass, and aortic root enlargement.
  • Utilize both open and endoscopic techniques in cardiac/thoracic surgeries.
  • Manage acute volume/BP issues and perform central line, arterial line, and PA catheter insertions.
  • Engage in valve repair and replacement, along with aneurysm and TAVR procedures.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified in Thoracic Surgery
  • Capable of performing advanced procedures such as TAVR and CABG
  • Experience in minimally invasive mitral valve surgery
  • Current medical licensure with ability to practice in the state

Working Hours

  • Monday–Friday with weekend call coverage
  • Full-time schedule with an expectation for ongoing commitment of at least two weeks per month

Skills

  • Proficiency in cardiac/thoracic surgical techniques
  • Strong skills in evaluating and managing acute cardiovascular conditions
  • Experience with left ventricular assist devices and IABP insertions
  • Familiarity with lung resections and endoscopic thoracic surgeries is preferred
