Job Responsibilities
- Perform thoracic surgeries, including coronary artery bypass, valvular repair, and aneurysm repair.
- Conduct inpatient rounding and evaluations.
- Manage acute volume/blood pressure issues.
- Insert various lines and catheters as needed.
- Participate in shared call after hours and weekends.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery
- Required Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS
- Experience with general CV/thoracic surgery and specialized procedures, including TAVR and CABG, is required.
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call for after hours and weekends.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in open and endoscopic cardiac/thoracic surgeries.
- Experience with a variety of procedures, including pacemaker placement and left ventricular assist devices.
- Ability to manage ventilated patients and perform bronchoscopies.
- Skilled in insertion of central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABPs.
