Job Responsibilities
– Perform esophageal dilatation, manometry, small bowel biopsy, and various lower GI endoscopies
– Conduct sigmoidoscopies, colonoscopies, and liver biopsies
– Manage Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube insertions and endoscopic ultrasounds (EUS)
– Execute upper GI endoscopies with biopsy and other therapeutic procedures including ERCP
– Average of 8 procedures per weekend
Qualifications
– Board Certified in Gastroenterology
– Valid Virginia medical license
– ERCP certification and capability to perform related procedures
– Flu shot and COVID vaccination highly preferred
– Clean malpractice history and background check required
Working Hours
– On-call during weekends, covering Saturday and Sunday
Skills
– Proficiency in a wide range of gastroenterological procedures
– Experience with Epic EMR or other electronic medical record systems
– Exceptional diagnostic and procedural skills in gastroenterology
