Job Responsibilities
- Provide surgical assistance in cardiothoracic procedures
- Conduct patient rounds and manage a patient load of 5-10 patients for weekend rounds
- Maintain accurate documentation using the EMR system (EPIC)
- Participate in night calls as part of the on-call schedule
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Active Virginia license
- Active DEA
- Relevant training and experience in cardiothoracic surgery
Working Hours
- Night shifts, 7 nights per week
- Two weekends per month on a two-week on/off rotation
Skills
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR system
- Strong surgical and patient care skills in cardiothoracic surgery
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hospital setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
