Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join a long-term care facility in Memphis, TN. Under the general supervision of the Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality pharmaceutical care. This position requires a strong commitment to patient and employee safety and adherence to established safety and procedural guidelines. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with EPIC and should have a clinical background in antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetics, and anticoagulation management.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintain adequate drug supply and ensure timely procurement of medications.
- Prepare, sterilize, and label parenteral medications; ensure competency assessments for all staff involved in these tasks.
- Oversee the labeling and dispensing of medications, ensuring proper documentation and patient billing.
- Conduct monthly inspections of pharmacy areas and patient care units.
- Maintain control and documentation of controlled substances.
- Participate in new employee training and provide ongoing education for pharmacy staff.
- Monitor patient drug therapy and provide consultation for contraindications and drug interactions.
- Engage in antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacokinetic dosing management.
- Participate in pharmacy and hospital committees and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of all educational requirements for state licensure.
- Current state licensure required.
- Minimum of two years of recent hospital experience.
- EPIC experience required.
- BLS if required by state.

- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
