Job Responsibilities

• Interpret a wide range of specimens including breast, colon, derm, GYN, lung, stomach, prostate, and thyroid
• Perform frozen sections and FNA procedures
• Provide consultation with sub-specialty pathologists as needed
• Manage and distribute a case volume of 45-55 cases per day among three pathologists

Qualifications

• AP/CP Board Certified
• Active TX Medical License
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a busy hospital setting

Working Hours

• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call rotation: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM – 7:30 AM, and Saturday-Sunday, 24-hour call

Skills

• Proficiency in AP/CP with surgical pathology experience
• Expertise in handling diverse pathological case mixes
• Familiarity with EMR system Cerner Fusion
• Strong consultative skills for complex cases
