BC/BE certification is required. For NP candidates, critical care certification is mandatory, while alternate certifications are applicable for PAs.
Schedule:
– Ideal candidates can provide at least 4-6 shifts per 4-week block.
– Coverage includes days, evenings, nights, and weekends as part of a 24/7/365 model.
– Weekend, night, and holiday work is shared equally among team members.
– Current shift options include:
– 10-hour evenings (1300-2300)
– 12-hour days/nights (0700-1900, 1900-0700)
Specialty Skills and Procedures Required:
– Arterial line placement
– Central venous line placement
– Chest tube placement
– Endotracheal intubation
– Lumbar puncture
– PICC placement
Call Responsibilities:
In-house night call responsibilities are shared among team members who have completed orientation to nights.
Patient Load:
– PICU: 4-6 patients during the day.
– Night call includes all patients assigned to the team at checkout and any new admissions.
Technology:

Interview Process:
– Name clear, candidate submission.
– Schedule a 30-minute virtual Teams interview.
– Confirmation of offer after the interview.
Credentialing Timeline:
– 90 days
Certifications Required:
– BLS, PALS, NPR
Candidates with appropriate licensure will be considered. A 13-week contract is preferred initially, with a possibility for a 26-week assignment on a case-by-case basis.
