Job Responsibilities

  • Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and effectiveness
  • Dispense medications following orders and regulations
  • Provide clinical recommendations and monitor medication therapies
  • Participate in medication reconciliation for safe care transitions
  • Prepare and oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding
  • Offer guidance to pharmacy technicians and respond to medication queries
  • Maintain compliance with controlled-substance regulations

Qualifications

  • Experience with inpatient pharmacy operations
  • Familiarity with automated dispensing systems and sterile compounding
  • Knowledgeable about IV medications, antimicrobial stewardship, and medication reconciliation
  • Proficient in using electronic medication-management systems

Working Hours

  • Rotating shifts of days and evenings
  • Every other weekend commitment
