Licensing and Credentialing:
– An active license is required.
– Temporary privileges are available.
– The credentialing process takes approximately 90 days.

Specialty Skills in Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology:
– Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser).
– Injection of varices.
– ERCP: Diagnostic and Therapeutic.
– PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy).
– Esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpretation.
– Small Bowel biopsy.
– Lower GI endoscopy.
– Sigmoidoscopy: Flexible and Rigid.
– Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp.
– Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
– Liver biopsy.
– Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube.
