Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct general CV/thoracic surgeries including open and endoscopic procedures.
  • Perform coronary artery bypass surgeries both on and off-pump.
  • Address congenital defects and valvular repairs/replacements.
  • Handle aortic and thoracic aneurysm repairs.
  • Conduct lung resections, chest wall, and pleural procedures.
  • Manage esophagus and diaphragm surgeries.
  • Install permanent pacemakers and devices such as AICDs and TAVRs.
  • Oversee patient management including vent management and bronchoscopy.
  • Insert central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABPs.

Qualifications

  • Must be board certified in thoracic surgery.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
  • Minimum fellowship training in thoracic surgery.
  • Experience with trauma level 0 procedures.

Working Hours

  • 7:00 AM start time on July 24 and conclude at 7:00 AM on August 3.

Skills

  • Proficiency in both open and endovascular vascular surgery.
  • Experience with aorto-abdominal aneurysm repair and aorto-femoral/iliac bypass.
  • Proficient in procedures including carotid endarterectomy and subclavian steal.
  • Ability to manage acute volume/BP issues effectively.
