This challenging and rewarding position offers Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists the opportunity to work in a busy healthcare setting in West Reading, PA. As a locum tenens practitioner, you will be an essential part of a dedicated anesthesia team providing care to patients of all ages without the responsibility of handling pediatric open-heart surgeries. Applicants must have a current PA license and be available for full-time work. Schedule options include five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists to deliver anesthesia care across various surgical specialties
  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to protocols for ventilation management and acute volume/BP issues
  • Master complex orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, and neuro cases
  • Perform spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia
  • Implement pain management techniques and post-operative care, including epidural monitoring and ventilation management
  • No pediatric open-heart or obstetrical cases

Qualifications

  • Current Pennsylvania RN and CRNA licensure required
  • Board Certified
  • Experience with a wide range of surgical cases, including ortho, vascular, neuro, and pediatric anesthesia preferred

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • Five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, flexible within these constraints

Skills

  • Proficiency in various anesthesia techniques and management
  • Experience with arterial, central line, and PA catheter placements preferred
  • Competence in anesthesia for all ages, with an emphasis on neuro, spinal, and complex surgical procedures
  • Ability to work under supervision and within a multidisciplinary team

Note: Lunch breaks are not covered, and this is a supervised position.
