Job Responsibilities
– Provide obstetrics call support, including surgical procedures such as circumcisions, tubal ligations, and C-section deliveries
– Respond to call backs for patient consultations, and support emergency deliveries as needed
– Collaborate with a dedicated midwifery and medical team to ensure comprehensive care
Qualifications
– Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
– Must hold certifications in ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
– Preferred experience in high-risk pregnancies, thorough FHR interpretation, and complex deliveries including VBAC and cesareans
Working Hours
– Varied shifts with 24-hour call availability
– Average onsite time for call backs typically does not exceed six hours
Skills
– Proficiency in performing low and high-risk obstetric procedures
– Skilled in the interpretation of obstetric ultrasonography
– Experience with both routine and complicated deliveries, including operative vaginal deliveries and repair of significant lacerations
– Competency in office and surgical gynecology procedures, including but not limited to IUD placement, cystoscopy, and laparoscopic surgery
