A certified registered nurse anesthetist role is available in a large, academic hospital setting in Hershey, PA. Job Responsibilities
- Assess, prepare, and manage patients for anesthesia care
- Develop and implement anesthetic plans
- Perform history and physical examinations
- Obtain informed consent and perform pre-anesthetic and post-operative evaluations
- Administer general, spinal, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
- Perform invasive monitoring and placement of lines, such as CVP/CVC
- Manage airways effectively
- Ensure seamless patient hand-off as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in anesthesia care, preferably in a similar setting
- Must have certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Board certification required
Working Hours
- 10-hour shifts Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Thursday shift from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements

- Proficient in general and spinal anesthesia techniques
- Skilled in pediatric and trauma cases
- Knowledgeable in invasive monitoring, including central and arterial line placement
- Ability to manage acute volume/BP issues and ventilation management
