Job Responsibilities

  • Assess, prepare, and manage patients for anesthesia care in the perioperative/procedural period
  • Develop and implement an anesthetic plan
  • Perform history and physical examinations
  • Obtain informed consent
  • Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and post-operative assessments
  • Administer general, regional, spinal, epidural anesthesia, and IV regional block
  • Provide monitored anesthesia care (MAC) and invasive monitoring and placement
  • Manage airway

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with required certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS)
  • Board certified
  • Experience in managing various anesthesia procedures including head and spine neuro cases, thoracic, and complex orthopedic cases

Working Hours

  • 12-hour shifts
  • Exact shift timings to be discussed during the interview

Skills

  • Proficiency in general, spinal, and regional anesthesia
  • Experience in central and arterial line placement, as well as ventilation management
  • Ability to evaluate and manage acute volume/BP issues
  • Collaborative skills for working within a large academic hospital setting
