Job Responsibilities
- Assess, prepare, and manage patients for anesthesia care in the perioperative/procedural period
- Develop and implement an anesthetic plan
- Perform history and physical examinations
- Obtain informed consent
- Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and post-operative assessments
- Administer general, regional, spinal, epidural anesthesia, and IV regional block
- Provide monitored anesthesia care (MAC) and invasive monitoring and placement
- Manage airway
Qualifications
- Must have at least 1 year of experience
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with required certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS)
- Board certified
- Experience in managing various anesthesia procedures including head and spine neuro cases, thoracic, and complex orthopedic cases
Working Hours
- 12-hour shifts
- Exact shift timings to be discussed during the interview
Skills
- Proficiency in general, spinal, and regional anesthesia
- Experience in central and arterial line placement, as well as ventilation management
- Ability to evaluate and manage acute volume/BP issues
- Collaborative skills for working within a large academic hospital setting
