Job Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage for urology emergencies
- Assist with procedures such as cystoscopy, stent placement, and holmium laser lithotripsy
- Conduct consults and coordinate care with the emergency department and other providers
- Rounding on inpatient settings when necessary
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Urology
- Valid Pennsylvania State License or IMLC
- DEA certification required
- ACLS certification
- Preferred 1-2 years of relevant experience
Working Hours
- 24-hour call coverage
- Weekend call coverage approximately one weekend per month
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems: Cerner (inpatient) and GE Centricity (outpatient)
- Ability to manage and perform special procedures such as kidney stone treatment
- Strong emergency medicine and surgical skills
- Comfortable with high patient volumes in a busy hospital environment
