Job Responsibilities
- Perform cystoscopy, stent placement for hematuria, kidney stone treatments, UTI management, and consultations.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, anesthesia, and emergency room teams.
- Engage in rounding duties in the inpatient setting during the morning.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Urology – REQUIRED
- Active PA Medical License required
- DEA Certification required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
Working Hours
- 24-hour call shifts starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 7:00 AM the following day on scheduled dates.
Skills
- Proficient in procedures such as cystoscopy, kidney stone extraction, holmium laser lithotripsy, and Foley Catheter placement.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically Cerner for inpatient care and GE Centricity for outpatient records.
Emergency privileges can be granted within 1-2 weeks if documentation is promptly submitted. Candidates must be prepared for variations in patient volume and have a minimum of 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred.
