Join an acute care pharmacy team in Coquille, Oregon, as a Pharmacist with leadership experience. The position offers a full-time weekday schedule with the potential for on-call duties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.
  • Compound and dispense medications using standard methods.
  • Monitor patient profiles for accuracy, allergies, drug interactions, and optimal therapy.
  • Check patient medication cassettes for correct drug and dosage before delivery.
  • Prepare IV admixtures and other parenteral products under aseptic conditions.
  • Direct pharmacy staff in the admixing, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceuticals.
  • Oversee the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program in collaboration with medical staff.
  • Participate in patient medication reconciliation and answer medication-related inquiries.
  • Maintain quality control and security procedures, ensuring proper equipment operation.
  • Enter data into pharmacy computer systems and maintain patient profiles.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate of Pharmacy degree, Bachelor of Science, or equivalent.
  • Graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Current and unencumbered Pharmacist certification or licensure in Oregon.
  • Prior leadership or management experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical care for diverse age groups from newborn to geriatric.

Working Hours

  • Full-Time, Monday–Friday
  • On-call as needed
