Job Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiac and vascular surgeries, including coronary artery bypass, aneurysm repair, and valvular procedures.
- Conduct lung resections and various thoracic procedures including VATs.
- Manage pre-and post-operative care for thoracic and cardiovascular patients.
- Provide 24-hour call coverage on designated weekends.
- Utilize facility resources for patient evaluation and emergency response.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Thoracic Surgery required
- Valid certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
- Expertise in a range of thoracic and vascular surgical techniques
- Fellowship training preferred
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and professional development
Working Hours
- Weekdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call evenings during weekdays
- 24-hour call on weekends
Skills
- Expertise in general and endoscopic thoracic surgeries
- Skillful in coronary artery bypass surgeries, both on-pump and off-pump
- Competence in managing congenital defects and valvular surgeries
- Proficiency in aneurysm repair, lung resections, and chest wall procedures
- Capable of evaluating and managing acute volume/BP issues
- Experience with the insertion of central and arterial lines, PA catheter, and IABP
