Summary: Seeking a qualified OB/GYN physician for a locum position in a clinical and operating room setting.
Duties:
– Treat patients and perform clinical procedures consistent with licensure, specialty, and privileges.
– Prepare and maintain necessary reports, claims, and correspondence.
– Attend professional conventions, seminars, and medical education programs.
– Promote professional practice.
– Provide coverage when other physicians are unavailable.
– Deliver services at locations based on patient levels and needs.
– Cooperate with hospital in case of claims or litigation.
– Supervise mid-levels, nurses, and other personnel.
– Participate in credentialing and peer review activities.
– Attend patients in various facilities.
– Assist in obtaining and maintaining necessary licenses and accreditations.
– Participate in community service activities, including health education and treatment of indigent patients.
– Actively promote services in the community through marketing and speaking engagements.
– Maintain patient records timely, adhering to hospital audits and policies.
Required Procedures:
– Familiarity with EMR systems such as Allscripts AEHR and Meditech.
Support Staff: Includes a Family Practice physician with OB, nurse, and CNA.
Reason for Coverage: To address the lack of OB/GYN services in the community.
Required Qualifications:
– Board Certified or Board Eligible.
– Valid state license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
– Completion of residency and fellowship.
– Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and DEA certification.
Patient Load: Up to 20 patients per day, focusing on Women's Health and OB/GYN cases.
Credentials: Must have clean malpractice history and availability for immediate credentialing.
Location: North Dakota.
