Job Responsibilities
- Provide emergency ophthalmology care, including trauma cases
- Perform surgical procedures such as open globe repair, eyelid laceration repair, and others
- Manage ocular conditions therapeutically, including canthotomy/cantholysis for orbital compartment syndrome
- Conduct and interpret ophthalmology studies like ultrasound, angiography, and photos
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
- Required: BLS certification
- Preferred: Skillset in non-surgical, laser procedures, and various ophthalmology surgeries
- Experience with trauma level 2 facilities preferred
Working Hours
- Varied shifts, with 24-hour on-call availability
- Scheduled dates: November 3 – 9th, December 22 – 28th
Skills
- Strong expertise in both non-surgical and surgical ophthalmology procedures
- Proficiency in anterior and posterior segment surgeries
- Preferred capabilities in phacoemulsification, cryotherapy, YAG procedures, and trabeculectomy
- Ability to perform and interpret advanced ophthalmic diagnostic tests
