Job Responsibilities

• Provide neonatal and perinatal care in a Level 2 Nursery setting
• Perform IP rounding for an average of 3 newborns and possible up to 3 inpatients
• Address up to 7 calls while on call, with 2-4 potential call-backs
• Manage ventilation (both invasive and non-invasive), perform lumbar punctures, and central line insertions

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine
• Active NC medical license
• BLS certification required
• Competence in neonatal procedures such as chest tube insertion and exchange transfusions preferred

Working Hours

• Day shifts with on-call responsibilities
• Rounds take approximately 2-4 hours

Skills

• Proficiency with EMR system (Paragon)
• Ability to manage acute and chronic ventilation needs
• Skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including thoracentesis and paracentesis
• Experience in attending high-risk C-sections and performing neonatal resuscitation
