Job Responsibilities
– Perform general orthopedic surgeries and manage trauma cases
– Conduct 0-3 consults per day and 0-2 emergency department visits for closed reductions and admissions
– Carry out 0-2 surgeries per day, including fractures and I&D procedures
– Ensure all patients requiring complex care are stabilized and transferred appropriately
Qualifications
– Active NC medical license and DEA with NC address required
– Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
– Must be vaccinated
– Credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS
– Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
Working Hours
– 24-hour call, from October 13, 7:00 AM to October 16, 7:00 AM
– Must remain within 20 minutes of the hospital during on-call periods
Skills
– Expert in arthroscopy and total joint replacements, including hip and knee
– Proficient in joint revision or repair for shoulder, hip, and knee
– Skilled in hand and tendon surgeries, peripheral nerve operations, and both instrumentation and non-instrumentation spinal surgeries
– Experience in percutaneous disc surgery
