Job Responsibilities
– Respond to on-call emergencies, including C-sections and vaginal deliveries
– Execute emergent gynecological procedures
– Coordinate transfers for high-risk deliveries requiring NICU care
– Collaborate with hospitalist and anesthesiology support staff
Qualifications
– Active NC medical license and DEA
– Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics
– Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
– Enrollment with NC Medicaid and Medicare/PECOS
– Submission of recent case logs and compliance with credentialing requirements
Working Hours
– Predominantly 24-hour call coverage
– Specific shifts vary based on scheduling and patient demand
Skills
– Expertise in routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and breech deliveries
– Competency in OB ultrasounds, both level I and level II, and related assessments
– Skilled in office/minor gynecology procedures, surgical gynecology, and laser certification
Candidates within driving distance are preferred, with airfare or travel not exceeding $500. You must be located within 20 minutes of the facility by hospital bylaws to qualify.
