Job Responsibilities

  • Round on patients and be on-call for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
  • Available to perform emergent gynecological procedures
  • Work with hospital’s Level 1 nursery; manage high-risk emergent deliveries as needed
  • Collaborate with the hospitalist, anesthesiology, and radiology support teams

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment with PECOS as a provider
  • Active North Carolina medical license and NC DEA
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics
  • Full vaccination required
  • Must provide case logs and have no recent or open malpractice cases

Working Hours

  • Varied shifts available
  • 24-hour call duty

Skills

  • Proficient in routine and complicated deliveries
  • Experience with surgical gynecology, including laparoscopic procedures
  • Ability to perform OB ultrasounds and interpret fetal heart rate
  • Competence in performing office and minor gynecology procedures
  • Laser certification required
