We are seeking a Radiation Oncology Physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a reputable outpatient clinic. This role involves working with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver radiation therapy to cancer patients. The position offers flexible scheduling with no call responsibilities and focuses on providing exemplary patient care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and evaluate cancer through medical history review and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop personalized radiation therapy plans based on cancer type, stage, and location.
  • Administer various radiation treatments, including stereotactic radiosurgery.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Manage and provide care for radiation therapy side effects.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Engage in research to improve patient outcomes in radiation oncology.

Qualifications

  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • NY State License in hand.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in radiation oncology.
  • Must be board-eligible and preferably board-certified.
  • Proficiency in EPIC charting system.

Working Hours

  • Tuesday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills in oncology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Competence in monitoring and adjusting treatment based on patient response.
