Job Responsibilities
- Interpret and, if necessary, clarify orders/prescriptions by physicians and other authorized practitioners.
- Ensure orders/prescriptions adhere to professional standards, laws, and departmental policies.
- Communicate with patients in all prescription counseling and educational activities required by law.
- Maintain accurate documentation for controlled substances as required by regulatory agencies.
- Oversee and supervise technical staff during distributive activities.
- Maintain a general knowledge of order/prescription processing.
- Prepare, supervise, and check the preparation of compounded products.
- Prepare and execute pharmacy-related documents and reports for regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience with EPIC and WAM is preferred.
- Strong understanding of pharmacology and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Working Hours
- Shifts will vary with both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available Monday through Sunday.
