Job Responsibilities

  • Interpret and, if necessary, clarify orders/prescriptions by physicians and other authorized practitioners.
  • Ensure orders/prescriptions adhere to professional standards, laws, and departmental policies.
  • Communicate with patients in all prescription counseling and educational activities required by law.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for controlled substances as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee and supervise technical staff during distributive activities.
  • Maintain a general knowledge of order/prescription processing.
  • Prepare, supervise, and check the preparation of compounded products.
  • Prepare and execute pharmacy-related documents and reports for regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience with EPIC and WAM is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacology and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Working Hours

  • Shifts will vary with both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available Monday through Sunday.
