This position involves collaborating with various departments including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Med/Surg, and ED. The role requires independent work, especially on weekends, and offers a dynamic work environment with a supportive interdisciplinary team.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00/7:30 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM with rotating weekends (every 3rd weekend) Saturday/Sunday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Patient Population: All Ages
  • Location: Berlin, NH
  • Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide pharmaceutical care to patients across various hospital departments.
  • Ensure accurate dispensing of medications and maintain medication safety standards.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to optimize patient care and medication management.
  • Utilize Meditech and Omnicell systems to manage medication orders and inventory.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of hospital pharmacy experience required; previous Critical Access Hospital experience highly preferred.
  • Meditech and Omnicell experience highly preferred.
  • Previous travel experience is a plus.
  • Current New Hampshire State Pharmacist License (can apply at time of offer).
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • Must live 50+ miles from the facility.

Working Hours

  • Monday–Friday, 7:00/7:30 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
  • Rotating weekends every 3rd weekend (Saturday/Sunday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

Skills

  • Proven ability to work independently, particularly on weekends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Meditech and Omnicell systems.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage medication processes and patient care.
