A leading academic center in Omaha, NE, is seeking locum tenens CV anesthesiology providers to manage open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases. This position demands TEE certification and prefers candidates with a cardiac anesthesiology fellowship. Providers may also assist with general OR cases, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, offering 8 to 10-hour shifts, along with overnight and weekend call responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for a variety of cardiovascular and general surgical procedures.
- Provide coverage for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases.
- Assist in general OR cases as needed.
- Supervise and work alongside other medical staff, including the possibility of occasionally supervising a CRNA.
- Participate in overnight and weekend call rotations.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Cardiac Anesthesiology and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE certified).
- Completion of a Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship is required.
- NE license highly preferred, or eligibility for IMLC.
- Must have testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography from NBE.
- Clean malpractice and background history preferred.
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday, 8-10 hours per day
- Overnight and weekend call coverage required
Skills
- Proficient in the administration of anesthesia for cardiovascular procedures.
- Advanced skills in transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
- Ability to work collaboratively with cardiac surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong communication skills and ability to supervise CRNAs when necessary.
