Job Responsibilities
- Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to enhance drug usage and therapeutic outcomes.
- Advise physicians on drug therapy, toxicity, side effects, and dosage prescription.
- Oversee medication preparation and dispensing, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Maintain relationships with medical and nursing staff, providing timely pharmaceutical information.
- Conduct medication use reviews and assess patient compliance and outcomes.
- Store medicinal products securely, maintaining inventory per state and federal requirements.
- Respond to medication-related queries, maintain confidentiality, and mentor healthcare professionals in training.
Qualifications
- Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school.
- Licensed through successful passage of a licensure exam.
- PharmD preferred.
- Three years of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current state license to practice pharmacy.
