This locum tenens opportunity requires an experienced physician to perform a wide range of cardio-thoracic procedures, with schedule flexibility and engagement for up to 14 days a month. Job Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of cardio-thoracic surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass surgery (on and off pump), aneurysm repair, lung resections, and more.
  • Ensure expert management of acute volume/BP issues and insertion of central lines, arterial lines, and PA catheters.
  • Evaluate patients pre- and post-operation to ensure excellent quality care.

Qualifications

  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
  • Required certifications: ACLS, ATLS.
  • Ability to perform required specialty skills including TAVR, CABG, and more.

Working Hours

  • 7-10 days per month; schedule to be finalized but ideal for bookend weekends with the connecting week.

Skills

  • Proficient in general cardio-thoracic surgery including open and endoscopic techniques.
  • Expertise in managing congenital defects and complex valvular and vascular repairs.
  • Competence in advanced surgical techniques such as AICD, TAVR, and left ventricular assist devices.
