Join a dedicated team providing consult services in a hospital setting. This role focuses primarily on psychiatric consultations within medical units, with occasional emergency department consults, largely managed by a team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants. The schedule includes tele-consult coverage for regional hospitals in Minnesota and Wisconsin, requiring appropriate licenses.

Job Responsibilities
– Conduct psychiatric consultations primarily within medical units of the hospital
– Provide guidance and support to the NP/PA consult team for emergency department cases
– Offer tele-consult coverage to regional hospitals intermittently

Qualifications
– Minimum board certification required
– Experience in consult services outside of residency
– Must hold licenses and DEAs for both Minnesota and Wisconsin
– Must not have any "yes" disclosure answers on the Essentia Q&D form

Working Hours
– Predetermined schedule rotations with 8-hour workdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
– Occasional orientation and consult shifts as outlined in the schedule

Skills
– Proficiency in managing anxiety disorders, affective disorder, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders
– Experience with involuntary commitments and restraint application is preferred
