Job Responsibilities
– Provide simultaneous coverage of inpatient palliative consults, outpatient clinics, and home hospice services
– Collaborate with advanced practice providers to manage a patient census of 12-18 for the inpatient consult service
– Handle approximately 10 calls/pages during the day and 1 during the night

Qualifications
– Active MI medical license (preferred)
– Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (required)
– BLS Certification (required)

Working Hours
– On-call 24-hour shifts, 7 consecutive days
– Covered shifts are intermittent from March through May

Skills
– Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically Cerner
– Strong communication and teamwork abilities
– Compassionate patient care, particularly in palliative and hospice settings
