Job Responsibilities
– Provide 24-hour call coverage for urology cases
– Respond to approximately 2-4 calls per night, with 1-2 onsite call-ins expected
– Perform common hospital procedures such as kidney stone management, stenting, and difficult catheter placements
– Conduct inpatient rounding and manage new admissions
Qualifications
– Board Certification in Urology required
– Experience in general urology and adult urological care
– Preferred experience in laparoscopic surgeries and nephrectomy
– Ability to respond onsite within 20 minutes during call
Working Hours
– 24-hour call shifts, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
– Average onsite call-back hours: 2-4 hours per day
Skills
– Proficiency in ureteroscopy
– Strong communication skills for patient consults and collaboration with medical staff
– Ability to work independently while on call, with meticulous documentation of call-back hours and patient care activities
