Job Description
We are seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in a hospital setting. This role includes handling inpatient consults and endoscopies with a focus on adult patient care. The locum will be responsible for participating in a call structure approximately every 1 in 4 weeks, covering from Friday 4 PM to the following Friday 4 PM. This engagement offers the chance to work with an experienced team starting mid-December 2025.

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct and interpret esophageal dilatation/manometry and small bowel biopsy.
- Perform lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy.
- Handle various upper GI endoscopies, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, with requirements such as banding of varices and PEG.
- Collaborate with a team of four physicians to manage a patient load of 4–12 per day.
Qualifications
- Certifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC preferred), BLS
- Licenses: Active Massachusetts license
- ERCP certification is a bonus but not mandatory.
Working Hours
- On-call from Friday 4 PM to the following Friday 4 PM

- Ability to perform in high-pressure environments and carry a beeper overnight
