MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center is seeking a Locums Electrophysiologist.

Schedule:

• Shifts per month: 20
• Clinic Days: Monday through Friday
• Clinic/Patient Contact Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
• Procedure/OR Days: 2 to 3 per week
• On Call: Shared with 3 interventionalists

• Outreach Locations: Hawarden, Ida Grove, Primghar, Kingsley (IOWA), Winnebago (NE). Up to 2 days per month.

• Number of Physicians: 3
• Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 5
• Supervision of APP expected: Yes
• Physician Nurse Ratio: 1:1
• Ancillary Staff per Provider: 2:1
• Exam Rooms per Provider: 5
• Medical Imaging: Yes
• Lab and Pharmacy: Yes
• Daily Clinic Volume: 20-25 patients
• Average Daily Hospital Census: 10-20 cardiology patients
• Appointment Length: 15 to 30 minutes
• Serving Population: 100,000+

Teaching Opportunity:

• Internships and Preceptorships available

Job Responsibilities:

• Clinic visits (new/established)
• Electrophysiology procedures
• Device monitoring (loop, pacemakers, ICD)
• In-Clinic device transmissions and reprogramming
• Assist patient volumes with support from an EP PA
• Post-procedure and established patient care

Services/Procedures Offered:

• On-site and remote device transmissions
• EP studies
• Ablations (afib, aflutter, svt, pvc, vt)
• Pacemaker/ICD/Temp pacer/Loop recorder insertions
• Generator changes
• TEE
• Cardioversions

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified – REQUIRED (can accept Board Eligible/New graduates)
• Active IA License or Active IMLC – REQUIRED
• Fellowship Trained (Electrophysiology) – REQUIRED
• Clean Malpractice – REQUIRED
• Availability for Full time (2 or more weeks per month) – REQUIRED

• Yes, shared call with 3 interventionalists
