Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the existing neurosurgeon to evaluate and perform complex neuro-oncology surgical cases.
- Provide expertise in the surgical management of brain and spinal tumor patients.
- Participate in telehealth conferences and multidisciplinary discussions for pre-operative case review and surgical planning.
- Support continuity of care through post-operative consultation and follow-up as needed.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Neurosurgery
- Extensive experience managing and operating on complex neuro-oncology cases
- Demonstrated expertise in brain and spinal tumor surgery
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and provide consultative support both in person and virtually
Working Hours
- On-site approximately 1-2 days per week, primarily for complex surgical cases
- Availability for virtual pre-operative case reviews and care coordination
- Availability for immediate post-operative consultation (typically by post-operative day two) is preferred
- No call or clinic requirement, unless participation in select patient visits is deemed beneficial
