Job Responsibilities
– Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services
– Conduct medical rounds to document patient progress
– Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays; formulate diagnoses and treatment plans
– Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses
– Respond to emergency situations and perform minor surgical procedures
– Educate patients on preventive care and health issues
– Order referrals to specialists as necessary
– Participate in operative, perioperative, and emergency cardiac surgical care
– Support the institution’s academic mission, including the education of trainees

Qualifications
– CT license preferred
– NCCPA, BLS, ACLS, ATLS, DEA, CSR required
– Minimum of 15 years of direct operating room experience in adult cardiac surgery preferred
– Documented experience in robotic cardiac surgery support and advanced conduit harvesting

Working Hours
– 5/8-hour shifts per week, varied
– Weekends and on-call may be required

Skills
– Proficiency with the Terumo endoscopic vein harvesting system
– Ability to independently perform endoscopic radial artery harvest
– Experience with EMR systems, specifically Epic
