Job Responsibilities
– Interpret and transcribe medication orders into computerized medication profiles
– Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition
– Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, maintaining controlled substances records
– Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications and interactions, adjusting as necessary
– Provide clinical consultation and cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to practitioners
– Document clinical activities, conduct quality improvement assessments, and participate in staff training programs

Qualifications
– Active CO Pharmacist License in good standing
– Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy
– Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
– Epic Experience is required

Working Hours
– Rotating day/evening shifts, 40 hours per week
– Includes weekend hours from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
– May include third shift (overnight) on an as-needed basis

Skills
– Proficient in EPIC system
– Strong communication and consultation skills
– Ability to perform pharmacokinetic dosing and formulary management
– Competence in educating and training healthcare staff
