Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, including management of high-risk medications, anticoagulants, and dosing for various medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes and ensure patient safety.
  • Conduct thorough medication reviews and adjust dosing regimens based on pharmacokinetic and clinical data.
  • Respond to code situations and provide emergency medication management.

Qualifications

  • PharmD degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS.
  • Experience with inpatient/acute care and ability to provide specialized dosing and medication management.

Working Hours

  • 10-hour overnight shifts, 7 on/7 off schedule, including weekends and holidays as schedule dictates.

Skills

  • Expertise in inpatient/acute care pharmacy services.
  • Proficiency in anticoagulant and cardiac dosing, geriatric and pediatric dosing, and therapeutic medication monitoring.
  • Familiarity with psychotherapeutic management and high-risk medication handling.
  • Competence in compounding, IV medication administration, and sterile techniques.
  • Ability to utilize an automated carousel system and respond to neurologic and cardiovascular patient needs effectively.
