This locum tenens position offers 24-hour in-house coverage from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM, with a supportive environment tailored for both seasoned professionals and new graduates. Job Responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric care, attend high-risk deliveries, and perform neonatal resuscitation.
  • Conduct well-baby rounding and provide NICU coverage during night shifts.
  • Offer ED consults as needed and manage pediatric admissions on a case-by-case basis.
  • Participate in a streamlined transfer process with UCSF.

Qualifications

  • Board certification required (or eligible for certification)
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
  • Minimum 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in pediatrics
  • Experience with intubation (ETT/NT), needle pneumothorax, and central line insertion

Working Hours

  • 24-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM
  • Expected to cover 4-7 shifts per month

Skills

  • Proficiency in intubation (for both newborns and pediatrics)
  • Ventilation management (newborn and pediatric preferred)
  • Needle pneumothorax management
  • Central line and UVC insertion
  • EKG interpretation
