Job Responsibilities
- Cover urgent cardiothoracic and cardiovascular cases.
- Perform essential procedures including coronary artery bypass surgery on and off pump, valvular repair and replacement, aneurysm repair, and management of left ventricular assist devices.
- Provide critical cardiothoracic care and evaluations.
Qualifications
- Active CA license and CA DEA
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency
- Clean NPDB and malpractice history
Working Hours
- Majority of time on 24-hour call shifts
- Clinic hours on Wednesdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Skills
- Expertise in general cardiovascular/thoracic surgery techniques
- Proficient in coronary artery bypass surgery, valvular repair/replacement, and aneurysm repair
- Competency in insertion and management of intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Ability to evaluate and manage acute volume/blood pressure issues
