Join a dedicated team in an outpatient chemotherapy and infusion center located in Redding, CA. This role involves providing comprehensive care as a solo oncology provider, supported by a midlevel practitioner to enhance patient flow and manage orders. With responsibilities extending to hospital consults in collaboration with ER physicians or hospitalists, this position offers an enriching opportunity to engage in diagnostic and treatment services for oncology and hematology patients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient chemotherapy and infusion services
  • Conduct hospital consults with collaboration for patient admissions when needed
  • Oversee all aspects of diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment of oncology and hematology patients
  • Manage MD oversight for the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services
  • Remain onsite for all treatments at the Infusion Center

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology
  • CA License required
  • Fellowship and DEA certification required
  • ACLS required if requesting Moderate Sedation Privileges
  • Must provide a Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Skills

  • Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
  • Excellent diagnostic and patient management skills in oncology/hematology
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to manage patient and staff interactions effectively
