Job Responsibilities
– Provide neurosurgery and trauma ICU management for patients undergoing brain, neck, and spine surgeries.
– Collaborate with a team to perform low/moderate risk procedures and some high-risk procedures.
– Maintain high-quality patient care and documentation using Cerner EMR.
Qualifications
– Board Certification with current ANCC/AANP (NP) certification
– Active state license and clean malpractice history
– ACLS certification required; ATLS preferred
– Minimum of 1 year experience in neurosurgery, neurocritical care, or neurology
Working Hours
– Shifts scheduled on specified dates throughout the year, usually during day shifts.
Skills
– Proficient in procedures such as laceration repair, IV access, fracture displacement reductions, endotracheal intubation, and more.
– Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure in an ICU setting.
– Effective communication with a multidisciplinary team.
