Physician Pathology traveler will work in a solo practice where grossing is required. The daily volume is 10-15 cases, with a focus on small GI biopsies, significant GYN pathology, and approximately 1 cancer case per week. There is no weekend call. Consulting pathologists are available at a sister hospital about 45 minutes away with courier service available. The sister hospital offers regular tumor boards and breast pretreatment conferences for continuing medical education.
Coverage is required for 2 consecutive weeks. The site requires weekday coverage from 8 AM to 4 PM, with no weekends or on-call duties. The nearest airport is PSP. The facility does require physicians to be board certified, with a minimum certification level of certified. No bids from providers with IMLC are acceptable. The estimated credentialing timeframe is 30 days.
Mandatory certifications include ACLS and BLS, along with other certifications. The trauma level of the facility is 4, and the PEDs level is 0.
