Job Responsibilities

• Provide hospital coverage for radiological needs, including interventional radiology (IR) procedures and stroke CTs.
• Perform and interpret lumbar punctures, barium studies, centesis exams with drains, and CT/US biopsies.
• Cover the outpatient building for procedures such as contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
• California State License
• Residency/Fellowship in Radiology
• BLS and DEA certification required during credentialing
• CA Fluoroscopy certification required

Working Hours

• Varied shifts
• Potential night call and weekend duties

Skills

• Proficient in procedural skills and acute care imaging capabilities, including stroke CTs and ICU imaging studies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diagnostic imaging nurses and techs.
• Experience in performing thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, and suprapubic catheters is preferred.
