You will play a critical role in verifying and filling medication orders, monitoring patient therapies, providing drug information, and ensuring medication safety. The schedule includes a unique 7 on/7 off day shift with overnight on-call requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process, verify, and distribute medication orders complying with regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure medication therapy is effective and follows best therapeutic practices.
  • Manage daily medication utilization reports and quality assurance procedures.
  • Participate in pharmacy-related tasks such as clinical rounds and medication management activities.
  • Expedite changes to meet standards, regulations, and cost savings.
  • Collaborate on medication procurement and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacist license in the state of practice: Required
  • Graduate of a school of pharmacy
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree: Preferred
  • One year of technical experience: Preferred
  • Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience: Preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience with Epic

Working Hours

  • 7 on/7 off; Day Shift 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Overnight on-call 6:00 PM – 7:30 AM
