Job Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia services for a mix of inpatient and outpatient surgical cases
  • Cover procedures in high-acuity hospital settings and ambulatory surgery centers
  • Work with a supportive staff including CRNAs
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation in the EPIC EMR system

Qualifications

  • Board Certification required, or Board Eligibility for fellowship-trained candidates
  • Valid California State medical license and DEA with Schedule 2/2n
  • BLS and ACLS certified through AHA
  • Minimum of 2 years of anesthesiology experience with recent practice in tertiary care centers
  • Experience working solo in operating rooms, with trauma experience strongly preferred

Working Hours

  • Flexible scheduling; full-time preferred or minimum 2 weeks per month commitment
  • No fixed shift requirements

Skills

  • Regional anesthesia skills strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage general cases and occasionally regional cases
  • Familiarity with working in both solo and collaborative team settings within high-acuity areas
