The position begins on August 1, 2026, and spans 26 weeks, with a consistent weekday schedule allowing for work-life balance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough eye exams for pediatric patients, including those with complex needs.
  • Perform specialized procedures, including contact lens fittings and strabismus/binocular vision exams.
  • Collaborate with support staff and other specialists to provide comprehensive care.
  • Utilize diagnostic imaging devices to assist in patient care.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry degree (OD), with a residency in pediatric optometry highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with pediatric populations in a medical center setting.
  • Must possess a valid CA optometry license.
  • BLS certification required.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • First appointment begins at 8:00 AM with the last at 4:30 PM.

Skills

  • Proven experience in pediatric optometry and handling complex pediatric populations.
  • Expertise in performing contact lens fittings for pediatric patients.
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
