Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye exams for pediatric patients, including those with complex needs.
- Perform specialized procedures, including contact lens fittings and strabismus/binocular vision exams.
- Collaborate with support staff and other specialists to provide comprehensive care.
- Utilize diagnostic imaging devices to assist in patient care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry degree (OD), with a residency in pediatric optometry highly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with pediatric populations in a medical center setting.
- Must possess a valid CA optometry license.
- BLS certification required.
Working Hours
- Full-time, Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- First appointment begins at 8:00 AM with the last at 4:30 PM.
Skills
- Proven experience in pediatric optometry and handling complex pediatric populations.
- Expertise in performing contact lens fittings for pediatric patients.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
