Job Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise daily administrative operations to maintain service quality.
  • Develop outcomes measures and integrate them into Quality Improvement systems.
  • Evaluate and implement department policies and procedures.
  • Assess program effectiveness and facilitate process improvement.
  • Develop staff through feedback and HR tools to reach professional growth.
  • Oversee information and dispensing systems for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage purchasing and inventory for cost-effective availability of pharmaceuticals.
  • Facilitate staff professional growth by coordinating learning opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly operational reports with improvement recommendations.
  • Participate in training and quality assurance programs.
  • Engage in educational programs to maintain skills and competencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
  • PharmD preferred with a 1-year residency (PGY1) preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of pharmacist experience; two years in hospital practice preferred.
  • Arizona pharmacist license preferred.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred.

  • Minimum five years of professional experience with two years in management.
  • Current and valid state pharmacy license required.
