This position offers a unique schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients and designated areas within the hospital.
  • Collaborate with physicians on medication selection and dosing.
  • Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication usage and safety.
  • Lead medication safety initiatives and monitor patient profiles to avoid adverse drug reactions.
  • Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements, ensuring accurate compounding.
  • Maintain narcotic accountability and report any discrepancies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pharmacist with a valid AZ Pharmacist license.
  • Previous experience working in an acute care hospital setting is required.
  • IV certification is mandatory.
  • Excellent references and communication skills.

Working Hours

  • Shift: 7 days on, 7 days off
  • Hours: 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM
  • On Call: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday of the working week

  • Strong knowledge of state, federal, and DEA regulations and hospital standards.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with healthcare professionals.
  • Proficient in medication safety, preparation, and administration.
  • Ability to educate and inform both clinical staff and patients effectively.
